First Five for Friday post on the blog! I’m in a bit of a rush as I prepare for my first official evening of yoga teacher training, but I’m vowing to keep up with my blogging in spite of the busy schedule that will soon begin! Thank you to Happy Fit Mama for inspiring this afternoon’s post!

1. The beginning of yoga teacher training means I will be wearing yoga clothes for the next 8 days straight! It just hit me today that this was the case and I’m thrilled about it. Helloooooo comfy pants!
2. We’ve had some beautiful sunrises and sunsets here in NE Ohio. This one was at my daughter’s baseball game this week and it was breathtaking.
4. BACON! The party we all attended was a bacon cook off, complete with appetizers, main dishes, and plenty of desserts, including my Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes with Ohio Maple Syrup Frosting. Not gluten free, definitely not Whole 30, but amazing. My inspiration came from this great recipe!
5. Finally, that’s the door to my new future. I’ll enter yoga teacher training this evening and will attend classes for the next 8 days straight. I’ll do the same for a week in July and a week in August. I’m alternately thrilled and terrified, but it’s akin to the feeling I’ve had before every race I’ve entered. It’s good. I recently discussed fear with Phil and talked about how different it is as an emotion for me now. Fear used to immobilize me and now it propels me forward. I give credit to running for that change. There’s not much that terrified me more than the prospect of DNF-ing at a race, but I’ve done it, lived through it and improved. So here’s to fear and the joy that lies behind that door.
